WAYS TO HELP DURING CAMP

We could not do camp without our wonderful volunteers. There is love and unity when we all come together with one purpose in making a difference in a child’s life. There are many ways YOU can become involved with Royal Family KIDS Camp. You can get involved with our camp, whether it be going to camp for the week or for a day, helping behind the scenes, praying, or just donating to help us financially. You do not have to be a part of a specific denomination, we have many different churches and faiths who volunteer for camp. A successful camp experience for the children depends on multiple individuals filling various volunteer positions for the CAMP week. We are blessed as we serve and invite you to join RFK #313.

Camp Counselors
Full Time Volunteer

For every counselor willing to spend the entire week at camp, TWO campers are able to attend! No experience necessary. Meals, lodging, transportation and training are provided. Each counselor is in a group with at least one other counselor and is assigned campers of their same gender that they will stay with all week. They eat, sleep, and spend the majority of the day with these campers. Counselors provide the very best care for our campers and build strong bonds and make life long memories! The primary role of a counselor is to care and cheer for their campers as they walk alongside them through the daily activities of camp. This role requires energy, patience, love, and a willingness to look beyond your own needs in order to wholeheartedly serve the children in your care.

Camp Support
Full Time Volunteer

There are many different roles needing to be filled during camp include: Nurse, Photographer, Bible Leader, Grandma & Grandpa, Dean of Men & Women, Music, Teenage assistants and more. While the Counselors spend most of their time with their assigned campers, support volunteers have the opportunity to interact with all of the campers.

Registration Monday
Part Time Volunteer

Registration part time volunteers are for those who want to help but can't spend a whole week away. While those assisting with registration don't attend the week of camp, they are vital in welcoming our campers and setting a tone for this new experience first thing Monday morning.

They help by checking in campers, distributing t-shirts, name tags, and loading camper luggage on the bus. Our registration workers are vital to ensuring a camper's first impression of Royal Family Kids' Camp is a positive one. It’s a fun time where you see the kids excitement as they prepare for camp. Some kids are nervous and unsure what's going on and your smiling face will be the first one they see before they even get to camp. Workers will need to arrive bright and early at 6:30 a.m. Monday morning and stay until approximately 9:30 a.m.
